Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Barykin (Byrykin) (Russian: Александр Александрович Барыкин (Бырыкин); 18 February 1952 – 26 March 2011) was a Soviet and Russian singer, songwriter, composer and voice actor.
He became very famous and popular in 1970s-1980s with groups "Vesyolye Rebyata", "Samotsvety" and "Carnaval".
With "Carnaval" he has published more than 10 albums, including 5 releases at label Melodiya and some releases at Moroz Records. After 1994 he started his solo career and released 10 albums and 2 live compilations. His last album was planned to release in 2011.
Barykin was the father of three children: Georgiy Barykin (born 1974, musician) from his first marriage to Galina Barykin, Keira Barykina (born 1992, adopted in 1995), Eugene Barykina (born 10 April 2006) from his second marriage to singer Nelly Barykina (Vlasova).
Barykin died of a heart attack on 26 March 2011. He was 59 years old. His is survived by his wife, singer Nelly Barykina, and a young daughter.
